Patricia Miles has dedicated her career to upholding the principles of justice and fairness that are the foundation of our legal system. Patricia has proven judicial experience, because of nearly 13 years as an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) at the California Public Utilities Commission, where she has presided over dozens of cases, always ensuring that every voice is heard and every decision is grounded in the law and the facts.

Before becoming an ALJ (Administrative Law Judge), Patricia had a varied and extensive litigation background within Alameda County. She represented the City of Oakland, the County of Alameda, Berkeley Unified School District, Clorox Company, East Bay Municipal Utility District, and other entities. Later, she served as Senior Staff Counsel at The Hartford and Senior Litigation Counsel at the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS). This experience has given her a deep understanding of complex legal matters and the real-world impact of judicial decisions on people's lives.

Patricia's commitment to excellence has been recognized by her peers, including her selection as Chair of the American Bar Association's National Conference of Administrative Law Judiciary and her appointment to the U.S. District Court's ADR Panel. She believes that justice must be both fair and accessible to all people, regardless of their background or circumstances.
